Kim Clijsters by Jabba The Mustang

In the Kim Clijsters vs. Ana Ivanovic fourth round US Open encounter all eyes were on Ivanovic as she was supposed to show that her confidence and form really are back. However, the Serb fell to the Belgian defending champion 6-2 6-1 in just 59 minutes.

After taking the first set, Clijsters raced to a 4-0 lead and soon wrapped up the match in which Ivanovic held serve only once. The former world No.1 Ivanovic admitted that the nerves crept in again and all we can hope for is that it was just a temporary failure in her recent improving form.

Venus Williams was challenged by Shahar Peer in the first set of their fourth round match, but the American had an easier time in the second set to win 7-6(3) 6-3. The third-seeded Williams will next face French Open champion Francesca Schiavone, who defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-3 6-0 to reach her first US Open quarterfinal since 2003. US Open - Tiger Without A Major Win In 2 Years

Filed under: Phil Mickelson, US Open, US Open Golf, tiger woods — Tags: , , , — freddiezimmerman1983 @ 6:33 pm

Free shuttles are being offered at CSUMB to take spectators to Pebble Beach Golf Links.

CHP is urging motorists who usually use Imjin Parkway to Highway 1 to use alternate routes, like Highway 68 or Reservation Road.

Deane Pappas, Gary Woodland and Paul Sheehan teed off just after 7 a.m. to start the 110th U.S. Open, which is the fifth U.S. Open to be played at Pebble Beach.

The heavy traffic conditions are expected to continue throughout the tournament.

The last U.S. Open to be played at Pebble Beach was in 2000. Tiger Woods won that tournament.

The reigning U.S. Open Champion is Lucas Glover, who won the 2009 tournament at Bethpage Black on Long Island.

Woods, who is making his first appearance at Pebble Beach since 2002, is scheduled to tee off on hole No. 1 at about 1:36 p.m.

Woods will be playing Thursday and Friday's rounds with Lee Westwood and Ernie Els.

Tom Watson, who won the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach in 1982, is scheduled to tee off Thursday at 1:47 p.m. with Ryo Ishikawa and Rory McIlroy on hole No. 10.

Phil Mickelson, who won this year's Masters Tournament, teed off Thursday at 8:06 a.m. p.m. on hole No. 10.

For a full list of tee times for Thursday and Friday's rounds, click here.

USEFUL U.S. OPEN LINKS

For the next few days, you will see dozens of stories documenting the drama at Pebble Beach. Is this the week that Tiger Woods finally roars back? Will Phil Mickelson finally break through at the U.S. Open? Will someone like Ernie Els rediscover his major magic, or will a young star like Rory McIlroy turn himself into a superstar?

What you won’t see are many articles about the U.S. Open experience itself, from a spectator’s perspective. But you will get one here at PutterZone.com. Editor Sean Weir had the privilege of attending Wednesday’s practice round, and here is his dispatch:

A refreshing breeze is blowing off the Pacific, and the morning skies are bright blue. Across the shimmering bay, the silhouette of Pt. Lobos commands the far horizon. And the near horizon is draped in velvety green fairways.

Welcome to Pebble Beach—one of those rare places where it’s not an overstatement to say, “What a beautiful day in paradise.”

This is a sort of homecoming for me. Once upon a time, I lived in Pebble Beach, literally a stone’s throw from where the tour equipment vans are parked for the tournament. No, I wasn’t a business mogul, nor was I a trust-fund hippie. I was a caretaker for rent while I launched my writing career. I spent nearly three years living here. Lucky me.

Naturally, I initially gravitate toward the practice putting green adjacent to The Lodge. Rory McIlroy is talking on his cell phone while sinking eight-foot putts with one hand. At one point McIlroy and Tiger Woods practice their putting together (pictured above), enjoying some chuckles while they’re at it. Camilo Villegas is doing a circular drill. Rory Sabbatini is roaming around, looking mischievous.

Aside from the remarkable talent on display, two things really stand out on this practice green compared to the average recreational practice green. First, the wrists of the players are almost universally quiet. You see none of the “handsy” strokes that plague us mortals. Second, the lie angles on the putters are almost always correct. You don’t see the toes or heels of the putters sticking up in the air. Let that be a lesson, folks.

At the same time, there is tremendous variety here, too. The players are wielding hulking mallets, slim blades and everything in between. The grip styles vary, too. McIlroy’s thumbs are parallel down the shaft, while Woods’ right thumb pad is on top of his left thumb. I am surprised by how many players are putting with a “left hand low” grip. It seems as though every third of fourth golfer is employing this method. Some players are upright in their setup, others more bent toward the ball.

In other words, here we have the world’s greatest collection of golfing talent, and they can’t even come close to agreeing on what’s the best way to putt. This is why I love putting.

At the practice green, I meet Jim Sorenson of Momentus Golf, who is working with several pros with his Down The Line putting track, which promotes an “inside and down the line” stroke. Sorenson says that this is the stroke used by Tiger Woods and most other touring professionals. They take the putter back with a natural arc, but release the putter straight down the line. I talk to Jim about interviewing him on PutterZone.com, and he says he’s game. Stay tuned.

Another early stop is the driving range. The grandstand at the driving range is almost right on top of the players, giving you memorable proximity to some of the most impressive ball strikers on the planet. Padraig Harrington—who is smaller in stature than I had imagined—is just ripping ball after ball with his driver in an awesome display of pure ability.

Between the driving range and the course is a massive gateway superstructure that includes a food court and a merchandise tent the size of an airplane hanger. The tent is jammed with people snatching up souvenirs. I buy few things, but resist others—such as the $50 ball cap and $100 putter cover (with a velcro closure, no less).

What the USGA and the Pebble Beach Company have done here is nothing short of remarkable. It would be easy to take their efforts for granted. But if you step back and consider the enormity of orchestrating this event amid the highly nuanced terrain of the Del Monte Forest—from transportation to support structures to crowd management—it’s hard not to be impressed. On top of that, nearly everyone working here is unfailingly polite, if not truly eager to help. Who knows, they might be burned out by Sunday afternoon, but right now, they are happy campers.

The atmosphere is already supercharged. I can only imagine what Sunday will be like, particularly if a dramatic finish is in the works. But I’m not sure I would trade it for today. There’s something to be said for the casual nature of the practice round, and the opportunity to see awesome talent up close, in the absence of big crowds. At one point, I watch McIlroy and Ian Poulter send balls into the stratosphere on the par three 17th hole with the most beautiful pure “thwack” off the club face. But they’re not done—they tee it up again, just for fun. Such are the joys of the practice round.

At times, you must cross the fairways to get from one place to the next, a passage that is closely regulated and timed by the volunteers. While crossing, you get a brief sense of what it might be like to play the course with U.S. Open conditions. I’ve never seen Pebble Beach so shaggy on the perimeters. The bunkers are rimmed with nasty native grasses that rise up to knee level (pictured above, with Zach Johnson putting in the background). The fairways are unimaginably crisp and tight, and the distant greens look like tiny islands surrounded by hostile territory.

Sadly, the day must end, but the memory of it will never fade. If you’ve never been to a U.S. Open, I encourage you to find a way, if only for a day, if only for a practice round. For now, turn on the television, and let the drama begin.

P.S. Stay tuned for a dispatch from the tour vans of TaylorMade and Nike at the U.S. Open.

Amidst ever continuing scandal – love child anyone? – Tiger will return to the course at Pebble Beach this weekend.  Despite many personal and professional struggles this year, golf commentators are predicting a solid outing for Tiger at the tournament.

Pebble Beach is the site of what has arguably become Tiger’s most dominating victory.  On a course where may professionals struggle to maintain a score under par, Tiger shot a -12 for the tournament and won by 15 strokes.

“That was really a wake-up call for a lot of guys,” Ernie Els said of Woods’ 2000 Pebble Beach victory. “A lot of guys started changing their game. And a lot of guys took their physical fitness to another level. And 10 years later, here we are.”

In practice rounds this week Tiger has reportedly looked less-than-stellar, but maintains his optimism that his game is progressing. ”The more I play, the more I get my feel back,” he added. “Where I was in the beginning of June is where a lot of the guys are in January and February — the amount of rounds they competed and played in. So I’m just starting to get my feel back. And I know I have to be patient. It’s coming along.”  Unfortunately the same can’t be said for his integrity.

The US Open begins tomorrow.

San Bernardino County Corrupt Incumbent, Larry Walker Needs To Go On June 8th 2010!

Reason Number Six Why Larry Walker Must Go deals with the fact that he is the Incumbent! Currently as historical information goes, being the incumbent is generally a smart factor — UNLESS YOU'RE A CORRUPT POLITICIAN FOR SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY!

We have a tendency to should remind citizens constantly that Larry Walker is not solely the Incumbent for the Auditor, Controller, County Recorder, County Clerk, however we also must remind them that he was on the Board of Supervisors for twelve years too! Meaning that Larry Walker was on the board with the likes of Bill Postmus and others within the Nineteen Nineties who were accused of widespread corruption and cronyism. (See Daily Bulletin Article here: <http://www.dailybulletin.com/sbcountywatch/ci_12916474>).

However slick Larry Walker, the Teflon-Don of the Board of Supervisors, stepped down from the Board of Supervisors and ran for, the Auditor, Controller, County Recorder, County Clerk position that he has mismanaged for the past twelve years. And guess what. . . the culture of corruption and cronyism didn't go down one bit!

Of course, now Walker manages to lose immeasurable County dollars, our onerously-earned tax bucks, on his own. His cronyism is true to form as he promoted former J.C. Penny Clerk and county office assistant to Chief Deputy!  Walker even went thus far as to get rid of the higher education degree requirement from this position as a result of he KNEW that his girlfriend was NOT QUALIFIED, just as Bill Postmus did along with his crony, Adam Aleman. ( see the facet-by-side comparison of Larry Walker vs. Bill Postmus here:Larry Walker simply as corrupt as Bill Postmus:  Larry Walker as corrupt as Bill Postmus)

This can be the year when it is time for the old addage:  “out with the old, in with the new”.  It's time, once 30+ years, get rid of corrupt, inept politicians like Larry Walker.  Let's send this political hack walking and Vote on June 8th to Get Rid of Larry Walker!

For more information, see:

Larry Walker Incumbent Must Go

Larry Walker just as corrupt as Bill Postmus

Larry Walker San Bernardino County

June 2, 2010

Save San Bernardino County - Send Packing Corrupt Incumbent Larry Walker On June 8th 2010

It's time for the citizens of San Bernardino County to get rid of some trash by voting out more corrupt politicians on June 8th, 2010.

Larry Walker, Incumbent Auditor, Controller, Recorder, Clerk, is one of those corrupt Board of Supervisors who gave up his seat on the board to take the lower position at ACR.  However, he was right in the thick of all the corruption with Bill Postmus and company.

In fact, Larry Walker is just as corrupt as Bill Postmus (for the full details, you must read a blog put together by current and former staff members at: http://LarryWalkerMustGo.blogspot.com)

As San Bernardino County's Auditor, Controller and Recorder, Larry Walker has lost millions of our hard-earned tax dollars, and we have even fewer services available now than prior to Walker's reign of the last 12 years.  Those 12 years included the largest revenues generated by the Recorder's Office in the history of the county.  Yet, Walker coulnd not even open a single branch location while our sister county, Riverside, has six (6) different locations for recorder services!

There's more scandal to this life-long political trash heap, who has been sucking down a public salary for over 30 years!  He cost the City of Fontana hundreds of thousands of dollars by failing to put his branch in the new Library, which he also already paid in advance for space and employee staffing!  Walker's last federal audit had so many findings, the County is now considered “high risk”, which will immediately cost the County more in increased audits, and the County is at risk of losing $1 billion in federal grants.

It's time to take out the trash and put incumbent, Larry Walker, a 30+ year political hack out to pasture.

Let's save ourselves another investigation: just vote on June 8, 2010, and Get Rid of Larry Walker!

Sandra Bullock Takes Home The Gold

Sandra Bullock by zonazorra

Last night, Sandra Bullock won her first Academy Award for her performance in the Blind Side. As Leigh Anne Tuohy, Ms. Bullock played a well-to-do Tennesee mom who adopts a homeless inner-city kid. It's a far cry from the standard Bullock "I'm too career-minded and quirky for romance" romantic comedy roles, but she was the odds-on favourite to win, beating out both Oscar nominee veterans Meryl Streep and Helen Mirren and fresh-faced newcomers Carey Mulligan and Gabourey Sidibe.

And while her acceptance speech ran long, the consensus seems to be that it was "endearing rather than annoying."

"Did I really earn this or did I just wear you all down? I would like to thank the Academy for allowing me in the last month to have the most incredible ride with rooms full of artists that I see tonight and that I've worked with before and I hope to work with in the future, who inspire me and blaze trails for us. Four of them that I've fallen deeply in love with I share this night with and I share this award with."

Funny, genuine, gracious - total class act: A transcript of the speech.

She acknowledged the talented field she found herself in, calling Ms. Sidibe "exquisite," playfully expressing jealousy toward Ms. Mulligan, lacking the words to express her admiration for Ms. Mirren and alluding to previous interactions with Ms. Streep.

As she ran out of time, she singled out some of the women who don't get enough appreciation.

"I would like to thank what this film is about for me, which are the moms that take care of the babies and the children, no matter where they come from. Those moms and parents never get thanked. I, in particular, failed to thank one. So … if I can take this moment to thank Helga B. for not letting me ride in cars with boys until I was 18 because she was right. I would've done what she said I was gonna do. For making me practice every day when I got home. Piano, ballet, whatever it is I wanted to be. She said to be an artist, you had to practice every day, and for reminding her daughters that there's no race, no religion, no class system, no color, nothing, no sexual orientation that makes us better than anyone else. We are all deserving of love. So, to that trailblazer, who allowed me to have that. And this. And this. I thank you so much for this opportunity that I share with these extraordinary women and my lover Meryl Streep. Thank you."

Meghan Housley, National Post

Sandra Bullock's speech had many of us tearing up during her speech at tonight's Oscars and when she got back to the press room, she got yet another standing ovation. The best actress winner was humble, sweet, and funny — everything she's gained a reputation of being throughout this amazing award season. Her proud husband Jesse James hung out and watched her answer questions, though she wouldn't divulge what he whispered in her ear when she won and joked that he wasn't really tearing up when she went up to accept since he's such a tough guy. Here's some of the great Sandra quotes:

  • On expecting the win: “Are you joking? No. As I said up on that stage, you know, I questioned did I win it or did I just wear everyone down? I didn't aspire to this. I was in awe of it. I admired it. I got to watch it like everyone else did or present, but it wasn't something that I said, 'One day when I get the Oscar…' I didn't think the opportunity would ever present itself for me to rise to that occasion. I was okay with that and I was very happy working and this came out of left field, every pun intended. This is the film I said no to. No one saw coming and I think that's what makes it so overwhelming and unexpected. I look at the company I keep in this category and you can't pick. There's not one that rises above the others, and I love these women that I got to spend this time with ao I feel like I share it equally in five parts. We ladies need to stick together.”
  • On kissing Ryan Reynolds and Meryl Streep: “Well, first of all, if you saw me in the scene with Ryan, no one noticed me because Ryan was in the scene naked as well. I looked fine but Ryan, who is my friend, is a freak of nature and it's disgusting the way he looks and all people see is him, naked. I think because no one expects Meryl to roll with the flow like that. I think no one realizes how much fun Meryl Streep is. I'm not going to tell you half of what she'd do or what she's done, but everything that Stanley Tucci said is right and then some. I don't think anyone expects her to do it. That's why it makes the headline. She's an awesome broad, and I think she's an extraordinary actor but she's also a really free, fun human being. I think it's because it was Meryl. I kissed Meryl. No one's ever taken the bull by the horns like that before, but I did.”
  • On the pool incident she referred to in her speech: “See I could have taken that moment and gotten him back. There was also Tom Cruise involved in that as well, and I told them one day, in a very public forum, I would get them back, but George looked so tired tonight. I saw his little eyes and said, I can't do it to him tonight. You might want to ask George about that and see how much information he'll give because it was funny to everyone else but me. It was actually really funny, but not at the time. Ask George.”
  • On All About Steve and the Razzies: “I want you to watch it. No interruptions, I want you to watch it . . . [The Oscar and the Razzie] are going to sit side by side. As they should. We're the entertainment business — that's what we're supposed to do. Take the good with the not so good. I had the best time at the Razzies last night. It probably means more that they happened at the same time. They're the great equalizer. They'll sit side by side on a nice little shelf somewhere . . . maybe the Razzie on a different shelf . . . lower.”

Sandra Bullock by zonazorra

The two definite highlights of the evening were Mo'Nique's win for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Precious and Kathryn Bigelow's win for Best Director for The Hurt Locker.

Kathryn is the first woman to ever win in the Director category, and as was pointed out by AnnaLeighClark on twitter last night, it happened just before midnight and the start of International Women's Day. Also, as Shelby Knox pointed out, the statistics about this award were pretty stark: 82 years, 400 nominations, 4 women nominated, 1 awarded.

Mo'Nique's win was breathtaking, and her passion was there in her acceptance speech. She also made a point of referencing Hattie McDaniel in her speech as well as her outfit. Hattie was the first African American woman to win an Academy Award, also in the Best Supporting Actress role in 1940.

Mo'Nique's acceptance speech:

First, I would like to thank the Academy for showing that it can be about the performance and not the politics. I want to thank Miss Hattie McDaniel for enduring all that she had to so that I would not have to. Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey because you touched it, the whole world saw it. Ricky Anderson, our attorney of Anderson & Smith, thank you for your hard work. My entire BET family, my Precious family, thank you so much. To my amazing husband Sidney, thank you for showing me that sometimes you have to forego doing what's popular in order to do what's right. And baby, you were so right. God bless us all.

What were your highlights of the evening?

Sean Penn — Close Encounter at Academy Awards

There are reports swirling that Sean Penn had a confrontation last night with “The Hurt Locker” producer Greg Shapiro — who happens to be the current BF of Sean's estranged ex Robin Wright. We've been making calls and here's what we know …

First, reports that Sean was kicked out of the Governors Ball are not true because Sean was never there in the first place — by his own choice. We've also confirmed Sean was not banned from the ball.

But Sean and Greg were in the same room with each other at one point in the night — as reported by E!'s Marc Malkin — and it was all because of Sandra Bullock.

After Sean presented the Best Actress award to Sandra, both presenter and winner are supposed to go to an elevator which takes them near the press room. We're told Sandra lingered around backstage for a little while — so Sean went to the elevator by himself.

After Sean emerged from the elevator and was waiting around for Sandra, a group of people from “The Hurt Locker” came up in the elevator right after the Best Picture announcement — Greg Shapiro was in that group.

We're told Sean was nearby when Greg got off the elevator — but we spoke to several people who say there was no fight. One insider tells us, “I didn't see it happen … something could've happened, but if it did, it was minor and only lasted a second.”

Did Tom Hanks Stumble With Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa's Show

Tom Hanks en Zaragoza by Juanedc

Tom Hanks was “live” with Regis and Kelly, and inadvertantly upset the hostess by mistakenly calling Kelly Ripa, Kathie Lee. Remember, Kathie Lee Gifford was the former host — over 9 years ago.

This prompted co-star Regis Philbin to say “Everybody used to love Tom Hanks”. Hanks was on the show to discuss his new up and coming World War II series “The Pacific” starting on March 14th, the star also made reference to seeing himself on the cover of Time magazine.

Good news, gang: now the list of people you didn’t give a shit about getting into the Rock ‘N’ Roll Hall of Fame has a slightly less give-a-shittable list of people inducting them! Madonna will be honored by the legendary Mickey Mousekateer/actress/box-fucker Justin Timberlake; the Dave Clark Five will be inducted by iconic rock expert Tom Hanks; John Mellencamp will receive his due from Shea Stadium’s very own Billy Joel; and Leonard Cohen will receive his honors from Lou Reed (ok, that’s cool). Also don’t forget Jerry Butler inducting Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff (but really, how could you?), the Ventures getting made by John Fogerty, and Little Walter getting done by Ben Harper (who, in his defense, isn’t Jack Johnson). You can’t plan for this kind of excitement, although apparently the R&RHOF did, and they have it set up as always at the Waldorf-Astoria this March 10th. So far the performer list includes only John Mellencamp and the Ventures, but brace yourself for a montage-and-superjam sorta night.

Actor Tom Hanks was on Regis and Kelly Thursday to discuss that on the cover of Time magazine. How many mistakes can count on the appearance of Tom Hanks in Regis & Kelly? We have to call Tom Kelly “Kathie Lee” Regis did not know what “commitment” means, and Tom needed a trivia question, but the answer is “Tom Hanks.

Tiger Woods - The Best Of Arrogant Athletes, Chats With Close Associates and Friends

We have a tendency to all adore our sports heroes, and when it comes to Tiger Woods, he has legions of dedicated fans. But, this sort of dedication only builds the conceitedness of our sports figures, and when it comes to Tiger, there’s no athlete out there that comes close to this type of vanity.

Tiger Woods 2008 (Wii) by cor23

This morning Tiger Woods is asking for a a non-press conference, press conference. You see, he has the vanity to call a press conference so he can selfishly give a statement. However, his agent stated specifically that this is definately not a press conference. Maybe it’s not a press conference simply because Tiger is controlling the whole affair, all puns intended.

You see, Tiger is choosing the exact location, the clubhouse at Sawgrass - home of the PGA, and Tiger is controlling who will attend, and who gets to look at the view from a TV screen a mile away. Instead of a “press conference”, Tiger has beckoned the press to report on a little talk that he's going to have with “friends and close associates.”

    elin-woods by charliemartinez.wordpress.com

Currently you may ask, “why Sawgrass?” This is often another contemptuous choice because the PGA is collected at the Accenture Match Play in Arizona, that happens to be one among the first sponsors to dump the tiger tramp. Tiger desires the golf world to concentrate on him instead of the particular golfers who are out on the PGA Tour. As professional golfer Ernie Els put it, “It’s selfish, and you can write that.”

Tiger’s control of his little speach extends all the way all the way down to which journalists can be allowed to attend his little chat, and which journalists will have the privilege of watching the event from a mile-away hotel that's being offered “as a courtesy.”

According to Tiger’s own web site, ““Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future, and he plans to apologize for his behavior. While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him. He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that’s what he’s going to discuss.” (Peruse it for yourself at the tramps own web site)

Thus what’s next for this pompous and egotistical freak? It’s obvious - he has to regain control over his empire, including regaining a number of the lost billions of dollars in advertising sponsorships that he has lost due to his indiscretions.

Will Tiger succeed in his comeback? Sure, sports lovers love a an underdog comeback. However will Tiger be ready to change his conduct? There’s the ancient saying asking can a leopard change its spots? How about a Tiger changing his stripes.

    My Ramblings:

I was really rooting for Grey's Anatomy to win TV Drama but House is just as good so no hating there.  How I Met Your Mother should have won and Neil Patrick Harris was my vote for Male Comedy Actor.  I was super happy to see Alyson Hannigan, Hugh Jackman and Glee win in their categories.  Keith Urban is beautiful and his award was well deserved.  I love Britney Spears and I still root for her, I just want that girl to succeed for some reason lol.  I would have rather seen Beyonce win over Mariah but oh well.  Love, love, Carrie Underwood. She is too  incredibly cute even when she did wobble a little getting to the stage.  Ashton Kutcher was totally adorkable.  My biggest let down was the Breakout Actor of the Year category.  I was really hoping Sam Worthington would win but I do think others were more deserving of the award.  I know there were loads of Twilight fan girls who voted for Taylor Lautner.  Nothing against the kid but I think his body had a lot to do with it lol.  I am getting a little sick of Taylor Swift but she is successful and I shouldn't hate on her for that.  I am tired of "Fifteen" though.  If I have to hear that darn song one more time I'm going to murder the radio.

The wonderful, eccentric and incredibly talented Johnny Depp won Favorite Male Movie Actor and Favorite Actor of the Decade.  I can't think of anyone more deserving.  Who isn't a Johnny Depp fan?  I remember first seeing him Crybaby and in 21 Jump Street; fell absolutely in love with him in Edward Sissorhands.  He is truly an amazing actor and an icon of our generation.

I was pretty much bored with the show and I am usually a fan of Queen Latifah but the skits were a little weak and I cringed a little during some.  Overall, not bad start to the award shows of 2010.

Taylor Lautner! Taylor Swift! Ryan Reynolds! Carrie Underwood! So many Crushworthy stars will be slinking down tonight's People's Choice Awards red carpet. And don't think for a hot second we won't be at 2010's first awards show, chronicling the fashion dos, don'ts and much more! We're live blogging the arrivals at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre, and in the spirit of the awards, we want to hear from you too! Leave your comments below, from who looked gorgeous to who looked, um, questionable. And don't forget to HIT REFRESH! Often.

8:57 The red carpet is being taken down, so uh that's sadly a non-Taylor sighting wrap! Head over to MTV's Movies Blog right now to get live commentary throughout the actual show!

8:54 No Taylor sightings yet people! We're crossing our fingers for it.

8:53 Dianna's in a strapless black dress and Cory's in a posh grey suit with a gunmetal grey button up shirt. They look very coordinated.

8:52 Dianna Agron and Cory Monteith of “Glee!” Woo hoo! They are debating over what happens if they are not the “chosen ones.” But they so are in our book.

8:40 Kelly's champagne gown almost looks like something Serena would wear.

8:48 Kelly Rutherford (as in Serena's mommy on “Gossip Girl”) is showing some major cleavage!

8:46 Alyson Hannigan is wearing basic black. She said she didn't know the dress code, but she hit it totally on the mark!

8:45 Wow “House” star Jesse Spencer is hardly recognizable without his longer locks! One more reason I should move to Australia: Hot guys EVERYWHERE.

8:44 Kate Walsh says her dress is vintage from the store Decades. She didn't pick out her dress until 3:45 this afternoon. Now that's cutting it close.

8:43 The lovely Diane is wearing H&M accessories (budget savvy!) with her Herve Leger dress! Where is her other accessory though — Joshua Jackson?!?!

8:42 Diane Kruger says she gets to present to “cute guys” for the breakout male award. Taylor Lautner perhaps?

8:41 Lea Michele looks striking in a sweet-heart red dress.

8:40 Olivia Munn is on the carpet, but I'm more curious where her rumored-BF Chris Pine is at.

8:39 Carrie's dress is Christian Cota, an “up and coming designer.” Her shoes are Rock & Republic.

8:38 She's talking about her now-infamous engagement. They are showing the ring! Alert the media! An actual shot of the ring is in our presence! It is literally a huge rock. A round stone and as we had heard, a yellow diamond!

    8:37
Our prayers answered: Carrie speaks! She says she can't fit into anything after the holidays! Psha!

8:36 OK, we want the focus back on Carrie Underwood. We'd love a close up of her ring!

8:35 Apparently, they all dressed to match Victoria's couture red dress. Though they're claiming their look is “Mad Men”-themed.

8:34 Cobra Starship is well-coordinated with their red/pink ties.

8:33 Dianna Agron is working the pouf tonight. Has Snookie infiltrated mainstream TV too?

8:31 Greg admits to confusing “Hollywood chic” with “Wall Street chic.”

8:30 Greg Grunberg just called PCA “the greatest awards show.”

8:28 Country stars y'all! Rascal Flatts is on the carpet. “Every award show should be fan voted” one just said. We kind of agree!

8:27 And Kate Walsh looks to be wearing something from the Ice Capades give away pile. It's a nude sheath covered with lots and lots of bling.

8:26 Tim Gunn just stepped out of his car, in what else but a suit!

8:25 Mary J looks to have a pom pom on her shoulder too. This begs the question: did she and Katie Cassidy collaborate?

8:23 Our first “Modern Family” star! Sofía Vergara's wearing an elegant gray sheath from Mary Kate and Ashley's line The Row. Her jewelry is vintage, though she calls herself “vintage” too. Nonsense!

8:21 “Melrose Place” star Katie Cassidy is presenting “Favorite Country Artist” award. She says she favors Taylor Swift. Katie's outfit however: sleek in a champagne colored sheath with an interesting metallic pom pom on the sleeve … um and on the bottom hem!

8:20 More of Carrie Underwood– love the earrings!

8:19 Simon Helberg is wearing a dapper gray Band of Outsiders suit and slicked back hair. Geek chic.

8:17 Jonathan Galicki's sporting some serious scruff. Not sure how that fits into the “Hollywood Chic” dress code.

8:16 “Big Bang Theory” boys in the house.

8:14 Cassie Scerbo's Caroline Pedea (I'm butchering that spelling, we know!) pretty pale pink neutral dress almost reminds me of a ballerina.

8:13 They look a little “Sex and the City” with their range of fashion choices. But uh, Josie Loren: holy 80s prom!

8:11 Aww the girls from “Make It Or Break It” are on the carpet. Which is best dressed? Chelsea Hobbes. Adorable fushia strapless dress.

8:10 Nicole's dress still making me think too much razzle dazzle. Oh look I made a “Chicago” pun. Where's Ashlee Simpson when you need her?

8:08 Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls is here. I like the bronze color of her dress but it's a little too Miss America for my taste.

8:06 Diane Kruger's name just announced (we think!). This must mean Joshua Jackson is in the vicinity too, right?

    8:05 Kodak product placement time!

8:03 there's the Band from TV. Or at least Mike Delfino (er, James Denton) and Greg Grunberg.

    8:02 Megan is wearing BCBG!

8:00 This just in, the dress code according to host Gretta Monahan is “Hollywood Chic.”

7:59 Megan Park of “Secret Life” isn't saying who made her dress. Instead she's spilling on an upcoming plot on the show. Something about having sex with yourself? Wowza!

7:58 Carrie's in a strapless cream and black dress — we haven't seen the accessories yet, only a mere glance when she got out of the limo. I hope we can see the rest of it once she gets on to the carpet.

7:57 There's Carrie Underwood. Does that girl EVER have a bad hair day?

7:53 Amber's purple dress is pretty— very flattering on her! Chris Colfer's in a suit. We want to pinch his cheeks.

7:52 Ah! “Glee” alert! Amber Riley's is on the carpet.

7:51 On second thought, Hayley's hair looks a bit orange.

7:49 Camille Winbush from “Secret Life” is in a very red (must be Herve Leger) bandage dress. Quite sexy for an ABC Family star, right?

7:48 Wow that was some hair color on her. Fiery red. Not sure how I feel about Hayley's black dress/white bows everywhere look. It's a little late for Christmas.

7:47 We can hear Hayley Williams' name announced! Lots of screams for that one.

7:44 Reno 911! star Niecy Nash looks like a sweet confection in her draped, one-shoulder bubblegum-colored gown.

7:42 we see a woman we think could be Janice Dickinson. she seems like the type to arrive early, right?

7:39 ok we need to find out the designer of Megan's dress STAT!

7:38 He should consider cutting the abdominal portion out of his dress shirt. We'd all enjoy that more, I think.

7:37 More screaming! I bet they'll be more of that once Taylor Lautner arrives.

7:36 The rest of the “Secret Life” cast is taking photos. We love Megan Park's white one shoulder dress!

7:34 and we have our first sighting! The slick guy from “Secret Life,” Daren Kagasoff. It appears he had a bit of a slick backed 'do. Very teen idol of him.

7:32 We hear screaming, but don't know who it is!

7:31 We brought our critical fashion eye (and we hope you did too!)

7:29 We're glad you joined us tonight for the first award show red carpet of the season!

7:28 Welcome to the 2010 People's Choice Awards readers!

Tiger Woods Voicemail - Jaimee Grubbs Pics

After the release of Tiger Woods' text messages to Jamie Grubbs , now a voicemail, which was proportedly sent by Tiger is in the news.

A voicemail which is allegedly between Tiger Woods and Jamie Grubbs, when Tiger phoned her, and asked her to change her name on her voicemail greeting, to make sure they wouldn’t get caught because his wife had gone through his phone.

Tiger calls Jamie and leaves a voicemail explaining about his wife going through his phone.

Here's what the alleged Tiger Woods' voicemail states:

“Hey, it’s Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail, just have it as your telephone number. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye.”

     by Pichead

Jaimee Grubbs claims to have an affair with Tiger Woods. Seems like Tiger Woods’ scrutiny is not going to end anytime soon as his ‘mistress’ Jaimee Grubbs claims to have a secret affair with him. The 24-year-old Jaimee Grubbs live in Los Angeles and has revealed the details of Tiger woods’ secret affair with her to Us Weekly Magazine. She told that she has been in a relationship with the golf champion since April 2007.

Jaimee Grubbs is working as a cocktail waitress in a club in Los Angeles. She claims to have first meeting with Tiger Woods in April 3, 2007 in the club where she works. She also claimed that Tiger’s most recent message warned her about his wife. She says the text of the message said that his wife has learned about his secret affair and was checking on his phone. The text, according to Jaimee, says that he (Tiger Woods) is going to delete her name from his contacts as his wife was checking his voicemail records. She told the magazine that

Tiger Woods might have gotten off with a small fine and a ticket for his car accident the other night, but the fallout from the incident could cost him millions.  The once squeaky clean Woods has now been tied to another woman who is claiming she had an affair with the golfer after a meeting in Vegas a couple of years ago.  Jaimee Grubbs, a reject from the VH1 reality show Tool Academy, has come forward to claim her 15 minutes of fame.  She has claimed to have over 300 steamy text messages, and a voicemail (check it out on the next page) from Woods claiming his wife had found out about the affair.  The original woman at the center of the scandal, Rachel Uchitel, is still denying and inappropriate activities with the married golfer and has stated that the rumor was started by a friend of a friend.  Check out 6 pictures of Jaimee on the flip…

So far Nike has come forward saying the support Woods and that makes sense since he isn’t just a spokesman for the brand he is a cash cow for Nike Golf.  His other endorsement deals have yet to be so open about sticking with him.  If any of his deals are dropped due to the scandal it could cost Woods millions in endorsement money.  That is a steep price to pay for a girl that was dumped by a guy on Tool Academy.

Now, yet another women, Rachel Uchitel, is coming out to claim an affair with Tiger Woods. I wonder if she has any text messages, a voicemail, a stained Blue Dress?

Who Is Gloriana and How Did They Beat Lady Gaga

Gloriana won Breakthrough Artist at this year's AMA awards, edging out Lady GaGa. Who is Gloriana? Gloriana is The American Music Awards (AMAs) winner this evening over Lady GaGa, which puts the country quartet smack in the public eye.

However, one person that could be credited for Gloriana’s win is their friend and star, Taylor Swift. Swifty picked Gloriana to open for her tour show. Gloriana credited Swifty backstage this evening. “We’re so thankful to Taylor”.

Josephine Barstow as Elizabeth in Gloriana by Rachel Roses (Countess of Beaumont)

The American Music Awards show is over, and I've got your full list of who earned trophies. Following her big CMA wins, Taylor Swift dominated in the female categories, taking home AMAs for favorite artist in both pop and country categories as well as the top honor of them all: Artist of the Year.

Besides Ms. Swift, there were plenty of others who triumphed, like country act Gloriana, who pulled off a shocker of an upset with Breakthrough Artist over Lady Gaga. (Even Gloriana poked fun at the win, asking the audience to raise a show of hands if they didn't know who they are.) Michael Jackson won four posthumous honors, and his brother Jermaine took the stage with family members to accept on his behalf. I'll be going over all of the highlights from the show tomorrow — including some of my red carpet coverage and notes from the press room — so check back then! For now, be sure to vote on Fab's fashion polls and Bella's beauty polls from the night's looks.

Jackson, Swift face off at American Music Awards

LOS ANGELES — Janet Jackson kicked off the American Music Awards with a medley of some of her biggest hits, but it was her late brother Michael who was poised to be one of the night's big winners, up for five American Music Awards, including entertainer of the year. Jackson's performance didn't acknowledge her late brother, as she did at the MTV Video Music Awards, but it did remind fans of her own long career, and perhaps of her just-released greatest-hits album, “Number Ones.”

Incidentally, Michael Jackson's nominations are for his 2003 album of the same name, which surged in popularity after he died in June at age 50.
